This Christmas, some will wish for things that are just too big for a bow.
Some will wish for the safety of spouses deployed;
some will wish for a warm place to sleep
or food to fill their aching hunger.
Others will wish for relief from pain or recovery from illness,
and some will wish they could have just one more day with a loved one.
Whatever your *big* wish is this Christmas, don’t forget to send it in a prayer.
And if you find yourself already blessed with all of the aforementioned wishes, reach out to those most in need this holiday season. We are the hands that feed the hungry, give clothing and shelter to the cold, and we give comfort to those in despair. It is only through our actions, can the quiet prayers of others be answered.
If you are grateful for your family, do something for someone who has none. If you are thankful for a full pantry, give to those with empty shelves. If you are thankful for warm shelter and clothing, donate to those exposed to the bitter cold. If you are thankful for your freedom, show your appreciation to those who have and continue to serve. Whatever you are most grateful for today, let it motivate you to act.
Well Stated, Bravo!
