The turkey is consumed, the blessings have been counted, Friday’s sales have come and gone (with an awesome collection of goodies to donate!), and now today we can have a little fun with Small Business Saturday!
(For the record: this post is not sponsored. This is purely an “I love Katonah” post for no other reason than the fact that I really DO love and want to support these businesses!)
If you are in Westchester, there are quite a few fantastic little towns that are just chock full of Small Business gems! I wanted to share with you, though, one of my favorite places, and the perfect place to spend Small Business Saturday: Katonah. On an early Sunday morning a couple of weeks back, I grabbed my camera and just walked through town to try and capture just a glimpse of the whimsy this place holds!
If you have never participated in Small Business Saturday, then I suggest you hop off train at the Katonah station, or park the car (my southern Westchester friends will appreciate the fact that there AREN’T ANY METERS!) at one end of town and start a new tradition! And if you have your kiddos with you, make sure not to miss:
Santa in town at 11:00 am this morning behind the Chase Bank
Offerings is also celebrating their 24th Anniversary today with a trunk sale, food and wine! (I wish that I had a beautiful stone fireplace, high ceiling and warm hued beams JUST so I could hang that gorgeous antique Rooster sign shown below!)
Many of the stores are ready and waiting for the bustle of today. For more information on some of the shops and upcoming activities in Katonah, such as tomorrow’s annual Tree and Menorah Lighting, make sure to swing by the Katonah Chamber of Commerce website.
For now, enjoy some photos and if you me in town today, make sure to say hello!
.
thanks!
